    I think the core of submission is trust.

    When you submit to another you give up your independence – to some degree at least. You offer your body and soul to your Mistress/Master.

    You trust that person to guide you and direct you. You have faith in their judgment, management and supervision.

    I believe many submissives have a deep inner desire to relinquish control of their lives and for another to assume a certain “ownership” of their body and mind.

    That requires an immense foundation of trust, which the core of a dominant/submissive relationship.
