Sexist Pigs of Femdom
Oh, damn: I’m going to quote Eileen again already.
While I’m open to poetic license and psychosexual symbolism of all sorts in power exchange and erotic sadomasochism I feel considerable weariness at the psychological, sociological and political falsehoods espoused by the supporters of women as inherently superior, kinder, nicer, sweeter, smarter than guys.
When removed from the sphere of deliberately constructed erotic myth to actual description the nature of men and women and how they engage one another it is at best tedious, at worst disgustingly dishonest.
Saying that you’d like to be superior/inferior to a specific man/woman in a certain context is something ya’ll can work out for yourselves. (Yes, I’m even okay with the word “superior” in certain, pre-negotiated relationships.) But the minute you generalize it to include people you don’t know, the minute you say it in a public space, you are espousing a sexist philosophy of life. You say it on the Internet as though this space exists only in a fantasy realm. As though the online world is an extension of your bedroom. Or maybe you think that speaking to a sympathetic audience excuses the offense your opinion gives to those outside your audience.
And Elizabeth among other things makes the natural comparison to The Sexist Pigs of Gor:
Why bother? Somebody has to. If the intelligent, thinking female doms and male submissives keep ignoring this crap and not addressing it head on, it will never get addressed. Everybody else is too busy laughing their asses off at such ridiculous statements, when they aren’t in stitches or up in arms over male supremacy in Gor. Or when they aren’t writing all female doms and male submissives off as fucking nutters.
