You can’t really give more, do more than honestly try to be pleasing.
Consensual slavehood as a kink most often involves having an ideal of
nonconditional submission, not to mention irrevocable submission wherein
the slave doesn’t -want- to be able to walk away from the relationship.
At least that’s -one- common form of it – I don’t think Gorgik’s type of
slavery works quite that way, but I don’t feel I fit any reasonable
paradigm of slavery. For instance : when I submit to someone, I serve and (tend to) obey, and endure things for that someone, even when they’re things unpleasant
to me, things I don’t in any way want or like. But it’s not their aura
of dominance that keeps me there, it’s my desire for and loyalty to them,
and my sense of commitment and such that may keep me there even as I
have doubts about the relationship. But as soon as my affection and
loyalty and sense of commitment have been exhausted (or sooner), I’m out
of there and my submission revoked – I don’t even have a well of subspace
for me to have to run dry first. Seems, well, un-slavelike to me. *g*
Don’t feel that you have to eat someone’s alphabet soup:
In online venues, I’m not prone to tender respect based on dominant or
mastery status – not to using, or capitalizing, titles, nor to lower
casing my name. “But that’s not how a slave’s -supposed- to act!?!”
Yeh, well, that’s why I’m a lawless and not a slave nor necessarily ‘a’
submissive.
Be true to yourself:
And when I’m communicating with someone, perhaps eyeing them up with
an eye towards possible relationship material and they say they want
a slave, that’s a cautionary flag for me, because while I fit into at
least a few ownership based relationships and roles, I’m -not- a match
for that slave phenotype. So I ask questions and communicate further,
and try to get a better grasp of what -they- mean by it, as there’s
rather a shortage of convenient single word terms to indicate relation-
ships where the d/s isn’t bedroom or scene space only, and too many of
the words we do use for such have implied meanings – TPE, slavery, 24/7,
lifestyle, etc, wind up being shorthand notations used for convenience
where rambling conversations are (imo) more in order. *shrug*
